Every player sometimes get to the point wherein they would want to do anything just to survive the Diablo game. Unknown to everyone, the game has secrets and you might want to know what. In this article you would be presented with some Diablo 3 secrets that you might want to try while you are on the verge of getting so frustrated with the game either due to too much challenge in the game or, and I doubt, for lack thereof:
If you are annoyed with the music of the game or the sound effects of the game, disabling it or enabling it is very easy. All you have to do is to press Ctrl+M for the music and Ctrl+S for the sound effects. Pressing it again toggles the enable or disable feature.
The difficulty of the Diablo game depend on the number of players playing the game. Diablo 3 secrets state that the more players there are in the game, the tougher it becomes and the more frequent is the number of gold and item that drops. If you want to experience this, press the Enter key while on the single player mode and type
/player x
where x is for the number of players within the range 1 to 8. For example, you can type in,
/player 4
and the game would assume there are 4 players therefore the enemies become more difficult to defeat, it drops more items and also awards more experience. This also does the same effect as the bosses, so on Hell Mephistos drops are more frequent. This however does not affect the immunities towards monsters and words in all difficulties and all acts in the game.
Here are the player numbers that you can specify on this code along with its effect on the game. Note of course that if you type in 1, there is no change of effect at all, hence it is not included in the following Diablo 3 secrets:
2 makes little effect on the difficulty of the game
3 good difference on the difficulty
4 will cause a much more noticeable difference
5 monsters will be more harder to defeat
6 would make monsters that are very difficult to kill
7 extremely difficult. Proceed with caution
8 the most difficult. Impossibly difficult to monsters to kill.
To set it back to normal for single player game, you just simply need to type in
/player 1
And the monsters will return to normal.
You can also press the Enter key and type in /nopickup. This will cause the game to disable picking up of items. It would only work if you press the Alt key on your keyboard.
The following Diablo 3 secrets are ideal for public computers. If you want to change the setting some more, you can right click on the shortcut icon of the game and edit the target line by entering the following codes after the quotes:
-nosave allows the player to play without saving the file on the computer
-w opens the game in a window
-opengl triggers the OpenGL graphic renderer in the game
-skiptobnet skips the game directly to BattleNet login
